Keep your Flywheel secure with a new 36mm Gland Nut for your Air-Cooled Volkswagen. The Gland Nut secures the Flywheel by threading into the Crankshaft. Fits Standard Beetle (61-77), Super Beetle (71-79), Type 3 (62-74), Bus (61-71), Karmann Ghia (61-74), and Thing (69-78). Includes Flywheel Gland Nut with Washer for the 1200cc-1600cc Manual Motor.
Does NOT work on an Automatic.
Tech Note: Don't forget you will need to torque the "Gland Nut" to 250 ft/lbs (check your shop manual for your specific model), so you may want to consider a "Flywheel Gland Nut Tool" and a "Flywheel Lock" to do the job right.
