Manufactured with reshaped ram tubes, top air box and water box, this Vararam intake is purpose-built to squeeze the most velocity and performance from your C5! The filter flange area encloses the cotton gauze filter properly; the seating radius had been altered to lower the box a quarter inch and allow for more uniform compression across the filter surface area. This intake features a perimeter gasket around the filter, encapsulating the filter to create an air tight seal every time!
The key to the power duct's performance is in their patented reverse venturi design with integrated rear air horn. It's not about just making a larger hole for air flow, it's about streamlining the existing air flow while increasing the overall volume of air delivered at the highest possible velocity at each RPM level through the MAF and throttle body.
