1997-2000 C5 Volant Pro-5 Open Element Air Intake
Improve your Corvette's air flow and performance with the 1997-2000 C5 Volant Pro-5 Open Element Air Intake! This system utilizes a high-velocity Venturi filter adapter which provides a smooth transition through the MAF sensor into the intake tube for a much needed air flow improvement over the factory rubber tubing and resonator box.
Factory air inlet ducts use sound baffles and awkward bends which restrict flow. Volant's Cross-Link polyethylene air ducts are sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing. Volant has incorporated larger diameters and unique bends that can't be duplicated with metal ducts to allow maximum air flow velocity and throttle response.
This system includes Pro-5 filters which should be re-oiled every 10,000 miles and serviced every 50,000 miles with a cleaning kit to optimize its performance in your Corvette.
