1968-1973 Beetle Bumper Bracket Fender Seal Front or Rear OEM Quality - OEM Number(s) (111-707-197-B)

This OEM Quality Bumper Bracket Seal is used to seal the bumper bracket where it passes through the rear fender and front apron. This Seal prevents rust and contaminants from deteriorating around the hole. A great investment for your Air Cooled VW. This measures 5 3/8" long.

There is a top and bottom to correctly install these seals! Make sure the longer end is the top and install prior to mounting bumper bracket.

This seal fits both front and rear for 1968-1973 Standard Beetles. Fits rear on 1971-1973 Super Beetles. Fits Front only on 1972-1974 Ghia.

  • Sold as Each
  • Fits Front & Rear on Standard Beetle
  • Fits Rear Only on Super Beetles
  • Fits Front Only on Karmann Ghia

 Installation Advice:

When installing Bumper Bracket Seals, we suggest you install the seals to the fender openings first and then install the bracket through the seal opening. The bumper bracket seal you'll notice has an inner lip and an outer lip, and the fender is going to sit in between the two lips. Slide the seal into the opening in the fender and make sure the inner lip is in place to hold the seal to the fender. Repeat the process for the other three bumper bracket seals for the front and the rear fenders.

We have heard of some people attempting to install the seal on the bumper bracket and installing both at the same time. This does not work as it does not allow for the seal to properly attach to fender.

When installing your bumper brackets and you experience the brackets trying to push or move the seals, we suggest using some soapy water or WD40 on the seal(s) to allow the brackets to slip through.

There is a specific a top and bottom for correct application, as the longer end is the correct top end. See additional photo for reference.
