Tech Note: VW Running Boards stayed the same throughout the years except the Side Molding:
1952-1966 Trim Molding is 33mm
1967-1972 Trim Molding is 18mm
1973-1979 Trim molding is 10mm
Clips measure:
28mm for the 33mm Trim Molding
16mm for the 18mm Trim Molding
8mm for the 10mm Trim Molding
Tech Note: When replacing running boards it may be necessary to drill larger mounting holes for extra clearance of sagging doors. Sagging doors are a common headache when replacing running boards. Fix up your doors too with the new hinges or pins. Sagging doors can sometimes be adjusted using a #3 Phillips screw driver and help from a friend!
