1961-1979 150-160 Degree Thermostat
Original style thermostats are no longer produced, which can make it difficult when it comes time for replacement on your Volkswagen. Our 150-160 Degree Fahrenheit (65-70 Celsius) Thermostat is the modern Mexican style that was introduced on later fuel injected models beginning in 1975, but is a suitable replacement for earlier 1961-1974 VW models with minor modifications.

TECH NOTE: To fit a 1961-1974 non-fuel injected VW, a small locating hole is required to be drilled into the original mounting bracket to prevent the thermostat from rotating.
