Tech Note: VW Beetle Door Hinges are attached to the body with large Phillips headed screw heads (that require a #3 size screwdriver) that are sometimes hard to break loose and will strip out when attempting to remove. Spray these screws ahead of time with a penetrating fluid to allow for an easier replacement. To prevent stripping the screw head, first tighten the screw to break it loose, then loosen it.
