Replacing the 1950-1967 Battery Tray: It's not a job that anyone looks forward to, but it's got to be done!

Occasionally the battery in your 1950 - 1967 VW Bus will overheat, and a little battery acid will leak out. This corrodes the metal in the Battery Tray that the battery is sat on, leaving it more vulnerable to rust. Over time this can cause the whole panel to rust out, which would be disastrous.
Fitment Note: This tray will fit all VW Bus models with the exception of single and double cabs from 1955-1966. It will also work on 1950-1955 passenger bus models as well as the 1967 passenger Bus models although it is not aesthetically correct.
Because of the location of the battery tray it's not all that easy to cut out the old one and weld in the new panel, so it's well worth getting a good quality replacement panel, such as this one, that will be easier to fit and will last longer, meaning you won't have to replace it again for a long time!
Please Note: Upon receipt, all body panels must be checked for fit. The nature of vintage cars is that there is normally some fitting, grinding or filling necessary to make new parts fit older and perhaps modified cars. This is normal and is not considered a valid reason to return a part.
Parts which have been modified or painted by the customer or their body shop are not eligible for return. If you are employing a body shop or paint shop, please make them aware of this.

Scratches in the rust preventative paint (not considered primer) and minor dings are not unusual and cannot be prevents. Minor flaws are not considered damaged product.
