Shock Shaft Grip Tool
Great care must be used when removing ends from your Corvette's Shock Shafts. Any scratches, blemishes or marks on the shaft of a shock can cause damage to the seals and lead to costly shock damage.We have found this Shock Shaft Grip Tool to be perfectly suited to holding that slippery shock shaft when removing the shaft end pieces. This kit also includes a small amount of Loctite to re-install the shock end to the shaft.
It may be necessary to heat the Shock Shaft End Mount with a torch or heat gun in order to loosen it from the shaft for removal. Do not apply heat to the Shockbody! Bodily injury could result!
