How Much Oil Does the LT1 Engine Use On an Oil Change?

4.5 quarts, with a filter. There is a mistake in the owners manual that states: 5 quarts.  There is a service bulletin regarding this mistake made in the owners manual.  If you are not aware of this, you can overfill by a ½ quart.  This will cause oil to blow out of the intake over onto the MAP sensor.
