Every detail from the size and color of fonts on the face plates to the control knobs have been painstakingly reproduced. The 1977-1982 Climate Control Panels are an interesting study in the transition or evolution of Corvette engineering. There are 3 variations: 1977-1982. The graphics on the face plate and the connector pins on the Mode Selector switch were changed between 1977-1978 (“FAN” graphic and 4 connector pins) 1980-1982 (Fan symbol graphic and 3 connector pins). The 1979 is a hybrid with the early style “FAN” graphic and late style 3-pin mode selector switch. Note: A replacement version of this unit was sold by GM/ACDelco for a number of years to fit all 1977-1982 Corvettes. It had a metal portion to the Temperature Selector lever and was provided with a different Temperature Control Cable. These exact reproduction Climate Control units are designed for the original Control Cable style.
