1973-1982 C3 RH Windshield Pillar Weatherstrip Seal - 3966566 - OEM Number(s) (3966566)
Restore proper seal and factory appearance along your passenger-side windshield pillar with this RH Windshield Pillar Weatherstrip Seal for 1973–1982 C3 Corvette Coupes and Convertibles. This weatherstrip installs into the original retainer track along the windshield post to prevent water and wind intrusion. It features molded end contours and flexible EDPM sponge construction to match original GM fit and compressibility.
Although this style was introduced in 1973, it’s a functional substitute for earlier 1968–1972 C3s. Because GM molded the hinge drain channel directly into the fiberglass body after 1972, the earlier-style extended lower seal was no longer needed. Owners of 1968–1972 Corvettes can retrofit this 1973–1982 seal by trimming away the lower hinge section and installing only the upper pillar portion.

Weatherstrip Care Tip
Weatherstrip seals are prone to drying and cracking—especially on older Corvettes. Regular maintenance with non-petroleum dielectric silicone grease keeps rubber seals elastic, prevents sticking, and protects against UV damage and extreme temperatures. Apply a small amount to a soft cloth and wipe over rubber seals monthly. This treatment extends the life of weatherstrips on doors, window seals, sunroofs, trunks, hoods, and convertible tops. Avoid petroleum-based products, which accelerate deterioration and surface cracking.
Because Details Matter
This seal isn’t just a barrier—it’s a key detail in your Corvette’s weatherproofing integrity. From daily drivers to NCRS restorations, ensuring proper door and windshield pillar sealing is the difference between water damage and worry-free cruising.
