Your 1972-1973 Corvette's A/C Thermal Limiter switch is a fuse-type device designed to stop the A/C compressor clutch when low levels of refrigerant pressure is sensed.
Tech Notes: Sometimes this is the only part that needs replaced to bring your Air Conditioning system back to life. This switch connects to the air conditioning harness near the rear of the compressor.
