1968-1976 Corvette Radio Restoration Service Original Unit Needed

Send us your 1968-1976 AM/FM Corvette Radio and Convector Assembly and you'll get back superior to original detail and enhanced operation! All restorations involve the following base services: Front panel/control button disassembly for cleaning Replacement of illumination bulbs, belts and some standard electronic components. All mechanisms ultrasonically cleaned and lubricated. All components tested and re-aligned. Extensive quality assurance testing procedures. 1 year warranty. (NOTE: Damaged or improperly serviced units may require additional charges.

Instructions for sending your Corvette Radio to us for restoration.

Please Note:
When sending in unit for repair, you must send in the Convector Assembly. Its located directly in front of the passenger, behind dash panel, and is a unit that is connected to system with part of the wiring harness. It has cooling fins and may have 1 or 2 round quarter size transistors on it. So take your 5/16 socket and remove this and send in with your radio as this could be part of the problem and is necessary to properly restore your 1968-1976 Corvette Radio.

Pack your radio and convector assembly very well in order to prevent damage in shipping. We recommend wrapping tightly with plenty of bubble wrap and to use a good quality box that has at least 3" of bubble wrap on each side, top and bottom. USPS, UPS,  Fed EX all offer fresh new boxes for either free or for a charge. We notice most of our radio restorations come in using USPS since they are so convenient in almost every town. We recommend that you insure your radio for $400 in case it gets damaged during the shipment to us.

Please write: "Attention Restoration Department" on the outside of the box.

Once we receive your radio, we will contact you and provide an initial price assessment including return shipping and secure billing information. Please note that additional charges may apply depending on the condition of your radio. Some of these potential extra charges won’t be determined until the radio is opened up and fully tested. Mid America Motorworks will notify you ahead of time to get your approval before any additional work is carried out. Expect to see your restored radio back in your hands in 6-8 weeks.
