1968-1969 C3 Seat Belt Reinforcement Plate Outer RH 3952488 - OEM Number(s) (3952488)

Your Corvette’s seat belts are only as strong as the structure behind them. This 1968 Late–1969 RH Outer Seat Belt Reinforcement Plate installs underneath the passenger seat pan and anchors the outer lap belt bolt directly to the frame mount area. It features a factory-welded 1/2" x 13 threaded nut and is stamped from thick steel to match the strength GM intended for occupant restraint.

Features
• Fits 1968 Late through 1969 Corvettes
• Direct replacement for GM part number 3952488
• Includes factory-style 1/2" x 13 weld nut
• Reinforces outer lap belt mount beneath RH seat
• Stamped from 13-gauge steel for factory strength
• Finished in black—ready for install
Made in the USA

Tech Notes
• Measures approximately 5 1/4" x 5 1/4"
• Weld nut thread: 1/2"-13 (verify before ordering)
• Mounts to underbody seat pan with perimeter fasteners
• RH (Passenger Side) only
• Supplied in black e-coat finish

Fitment Note
Early 1968 Corvettes used a 7/16"-20 weld nut. GM switched to 1/2"-13 in March 1968. Please verify thread size on your existing reinforcement before ordering.

Visual Fitment Reference
The orange-highlighted plate in the diagram shows this reinforcement positioned on the passenger-side seat pan, directly below the outer lap belt mount. This bracket adds strength to the bolt anchor point, ensuring safe operation in the event of sudden deceleration or collision.

Because Details Matter
A rusty or damaged seat belt anchor plate can fail under stress, putting driver and passenger safety at risk. This GM-correct reproduction replaces one of the most important structural links in your Corvette’s interior—and ensures your seat belts hold the way they should.

Under the Straw Hat – Restorer’s Insight
This part lives where no one sees it—but it’s doing all the heavy lifting. It takes every tug of your lap belt and transfers it to the car’s underbody. If you’re doing an interior refresh or installing new belts, don’t skip the steel behind the scenes. This plate is what makes your seat belts work.
