This complete H.E.I. distributor upgrade is the ideal drop-in replacement for your original points-style distributor. Featuring a high-output internal coil, billet aluminum housing, and mechanical tach drive provision, it delivers modern ignition performance while maintaining vintage instrumentation.
This all-new distributor fits most 1962–1974 small-block Corvettes and comes complete with a high-performance cap and rotor assembly with solid brass terminals for superior conductivity. Requires 1975–1981 HEI-style spark plug wires and will not work with original ignition shielding.
Designed to drive your mechanical tach cable through a hardened black oxide gear and cross shaft, it installs easily while cleaning up ignition headaches common to high-mileage systems. The polished billet housing resists heat and corrosion, and its 15½-inch overall height and 1¼-inch shaft diameter accommodate a wide range of intake configurations. Vacuum advance pod and gear drive interface are machined to OE-style specs.
