INSTRUCTION FOR APPLYING WATER SOLUBLE DECALS

1. Immerse decal in a tray of lukewarm water. Leave it submerged in water for about 1 to 2 minutes.

2. Allow sufficient time in the water and gently slide the decal a little to make sure it is loose.

3. Slide the decal over the paper edge about 1/4 inch. Gently slide it onto the surface on which you wish to place it.

4. If you are applying decals to an engine, it is best to let dry overnight and also avoid freezing temperatures.

5. Make sure the area the decal is to be applied to is free of grease, oil, dirt, etc. If it is new paint it is best to scuff up the surface a little to take the extreme gloss off so it will stick well.

6. After the decal is dry (at least 24 hours) a thin coat of clear shellac will help preserve the decal and keep it from flaking off. This is not necessary but merely helps preserve it and seal the edges.

7. If the decal flakes off in a short time, chances are the surface to which it was applied was not prepared correctly (as described above) or engine was operated too soon after applying.

8. Due to engine heat, oil and dirt - the life of the engine decals is somewhat short depending on how much you drive, etc.
