1958-1974 Electronic Ignition Conversion Kit Ignitor III PerTronix
This system builds on all the benefits of the original Ignitor and Ignitor II units while providing further benefits and performance. The Ignitor III senses startup and develops more energy for quicker easier starting while also adjusting spark timing at higher RPMs to compensate for inherent electronic delay.
This system also has the ability to sense crank orientation from the distributor cam lobe or a PerTronix magnet sleeve, similar to earlier units. The Ignitor III also has a user adjustable Rev Limiter with LED confirmation and memory safe function. For maximum performance it is recommended the Ignitor III Electronic Ignition Conversion be used in conjunction with our Flame-Thrower III Coil. The new Flame-Thrower III coil was engineered to charge to peak current typically 30-70% faster than other coils to meet the demand of the Ignitor III system.
