1967 Bumper Bolt Correct Black Nuts

As determined in recent NCRS publications, the correct nut used for many of the 1967 late Corvette front and rear bumper mounting points was a black plated 7/16-14 nut designed for use with an 11/16" wrench. This nut has been found on 1967 Corvettes produced after mid-January of 1967.

These nuts are now available for Corvette enthusiasts that have restored their 1963-1967 Corvette and want to add the new correctly documented special nut to their restoration. Sold in a set of 24 nuts which is correct for both front and rear bumper mounting.

1963-1967 early Corvettes used a zinc plated 7/16-14 nut designed for use with the smaller 5/8" wrench.

Note: At Mid America Motorworks, we call these parts FTF, or Final Touch Fasteners. When you’ve spent countless hours of work, worry and detail, we don’t’ want you to lose that final assembly look by using incorrect, rusted or mismatched fasteners. From correct finish, to headmarks to fastener design, we endeavor to have the Restoration Correct Fasteners to add that Final Touch to your Corvette Restoration Project.
