New reproduction electronic version Corvette Tachometer Assembly for 1958 Corvettes. The 8000 RPM tachometer was used on RPO 469C 2X4 270 HP engines, and RPO 579D Fuel Injected 290 HP engines.
The unit is assembled with exact reproduction parts that fit and appear as original. Unlike the original version which was mechanical, this version can be used when there is no tachometer drive generator and cable.
These assemblies use the same cases, dial faces and pointers as the exact reproduction mechanical units. The internals of these units have been changed and fitted with electronic modules. Unit is pre-calibrated and there are also dip switches on the back if used with LS series engines. Visually they appear the same as the mechanical assemblies with the exception of the wiring in the rear. Great for resto-mods that want modern technology with the original vintage appearance.
