1970-1974 C3 Fuel Tank Vapor Separator Valve
The Fuel Tank Vapor Separator Valve attaches to the gas tank for the EEC (Evaporation Emission Control) or the gas vapor system. Also referred to as a rollover valve, the valve flows when upright and stops the flow when overturned. This valve also blocks fuel from draining on steep inclines.
This valve mounts on the side of the gas tank at the top on most 1970-1974 Corvettes. Accessing this valve can be a difficult task for removal/installation. When removing the fuel tank, this valve is commonly broken during the removal process. If you can smell fuel in your interior, it may be time to inspect this valve.
