1966-1977 Shock Mounting Kit Front LH & RH with Dust Covers
Install your Air Cooled VW Front Shocks right the first time with this shock mounting kit. Enough for both sides, this kit also includes the shock dust covers that are almost always missing or broken.
Installation Notes:
The shock simply screws into this kit by hand. I hold the shaft with a vice grip with a rag to prevent damage and tighten all the way. These do not have to be overly tight because they cannot turn once installed because the shock shaft moves up and down but does not rotate. You can do this pre asembly off the car and then install the shocks with this kit already attached.
Don't forget to slide the dust covers over the shock shaft first or you will have to undo everything and repeat the procedure.
