Kennedy Clutches have long been relied on in Drag Racing, Off-Road and Sand competition, as well as street applications. The center ring is removable for all late model style Air Cooled VW applications.
This item can be used on an earlier Bug with 180mm Flywheel and Clutch Plate if you upgrade to a 200mm Flywheel. If you do this we suggest you count the number of teeth on your flywheel (where the starter motor meshes) as the earlier 6 Volt VWs have 109 teeth and the later ones 130 teeth.
