Mid America Motorworks named to AASA Top 100 List |

The Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) is pleased to
present the fifth edition of the Top 100 Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers
list in conjunction with Babcox Publications. This year in
particular, the wide distribution of this publication will
remind those working inside and outside the automotive
aftermarket of the industry’s vital contributions to the
economy. It complements the landmark study of the economic
contributions of the entire motor vehicle parts supplier
industry released earlier this year by the Motor & Equipment
Manufacturers Association.

be held in Effingham, IL the weekend of September 21-23, 2007. With featured guests including George Barris, the 'King of the Kustomizers', and popular
rock band Three Dog Night, record crowds are expected for 2007.

Discovering a New Passion for Corvettes |

While on a trip through Effingham, Illinois, Robert Engel, went through Mike Yager's Garage and
Museum at Mid America Motorworks. Coincidentally, the museum was in a period of transition. Instead of concentrating on low mileage, original
Corvettes, they were making the change to "showcase automobiles that car lovers would not be able to see up close anywhere else." To make room,
the museum was starting to sell off some of its low mileage collection. One of those cars was our feature 1981 Corvette.

established the Distinguished Alumni Society and will induct its first 45 inductees. During the ceremony, alumni over the past
four decades will be recognized.
