Hats Off To You!

With the close of this year’s Corvette Funfest, I found myself referring to a famous Mark Twain quote stating, “The dictionary is the only place where success comes before work.”

Hats off to my awesome team at Mid America Motorworks, for all their contributing efforts putting on the GREATEST CUSTOMER APPRECIATION PARTY ever! There are so many of the team members that have spent a lot of time and energy over the last 12 months trying to raise the bar on this year’s event. It is with great appreciation that I recognize them in front of YOU, our customers.

Additionally, hats off to each and every customer that attended this year’s Corvette Funfest. I had so many great people coming up to me throughout the entire weekend sharing their stories and thanking Mid America Motorworks for being part of their lives. Corvette Funfest is for YOU. YOU sign our paychecks and it is with YOUR passion for Corvettes that we can continue to provide quality parts and accessories for your 1953-2008 Corvettes.

This year’s Funfest drew in over 15,000 Corvettes and 45,000 attendees! We incorporated LOTS of new venues this year, especially the location. As you can see, our new footprint allows us to make future plans for even bigger turnouts.

Along with several returning Corvette celebrities, authors and suppliers, we were blessed to have several new folks joining our family for the weekend. George Barris, King of Kustomizers, had so much energy and passion throughout his interviews, celebrity signings and just being part of the show that I had to stop to remember who was the older one…..me or George?

Anyway, if you did not get a chance to talk to George this year, plan on attending next year as he has already advanced registered for next year’s Funfest. Have you?

Don’t miss Corvette Funfest 2008 on September 19-21st. It will be our 15th Corvette Funfest and our special theme is the 20th Anniversary of the Corvette Challenge Series.
