1978-1982 C3 Kelsey Goodyear GT Radial Tire P255/60R15

1978 was the first year Corvette buyers were offered the option to upgrade the base radial tires to a performance radial, the 255/60R15 Goodyear GT Radial with RPO code QBS. Through 1977, Corvette tire RPOs were cosmetic with options for white letters, white stripes, or the red and gold lines seen from 1963-1967. However, all the tires lacked performance matched design. The introduction of the P-Series radials established a high performance tire capable of matching handling performance for the first time in Corvette's history.

The 255/60R15 Goodyear GT Radial came standard on all 1978 Pace Cars and was optional equipment on the 1978 Silver Anniversary model as well as all 1979 Corvettes. However, if you are not concerned with correct originality, this tire will fit any 1978-1982 Corvette for a custom look. This Goodyear GT Radial Tire is built to the design specs of the thirty year old original while complying with current DOT safety and performance regulations.

C3 owners keen on authenticity will find this to be the replacement tire of choice. Every nuance and detail from tread pattern and depth, to the raised white outline lettering and "FLEXTEN" sidewall marking is reproduced to exacting detail.
