Question:

I own a (1988-05) manual transmission Vette. Although it's not a total problem, sometimes it's not smooth when my Vette takes over and does not let me shift into second (1st to 4th). How do I disconnect this? Will there be any side effects?

Answer:

The CAGS system may be eliminated by unplugging the electrical connector at the transmission.
It is located on the driver side at the front of the transmission. We offer kits to plug into the open connectors. They are designed to prevent dirt and moisture from entering the electrical terminals.
