2005-2012 Corvette Front Spoilers/Air Dams play a critical role in the operation of your C6's Cooling System. By creating negative air pressure under the front end of the C6 the Front Spoiler directs air flow to the radiator. Corvette lower Front Spoilers/Air Dams have always been highly susceptible to damage from curbs, parking blocks and elevated drives. Once damaged, or worse yet missing entirely, your Corvette will experience higher average operating temperatures leading to decreased cooling system efficiency and service life in addition to overheating and premature / accelerated engine wear. Once we realized General Motors had discontinued the C6 front spoiler and only offered a generic service replacement Mid America Motorworks set out to reproduce the original equipment. Our exclusive 2005-2012 Corvette Air Dam is a dead ringer for the original factory equipment and is 100% correct for all 2005-2012 C6 Corvettes. Through our highly technical engineering and manufacturing capabilities we were able to produce the component with its original multi material constructions for a finished product with accurate deflection, flexibility, operational properties and appearance. When looking at the front spoiler it may not seem worth all this engineering time and money. However, once you understand the spoilers role in the operation of your Corvette you will recognize how important it is that we manufactured these components properly.
