C3 Corvette Drive Shafts & Hardware 1968-1979

If you are in the midst of restoring your 1968-1979 Corvette's Drive Train, you will likely be rebuilding or replacing your Drive Shaft and related components. Over years of use and abuse, the welds and flanges on Drive Shafts can weaken, crack or fail completely. Our NEW C3 Corvette Drive Shafts will return the factory looks, quality and performance to your C3 project.

Each of our new 1968-1979 Drive Shafts feature factory correct unfinished turned steel tube and welds in addition to correct as cast U-Joint flanges. Achieving a factory correct restoration of your Corvette's original Drive Shaft is costly and leaves the units weakened to the point they are not recommended for anything other than aesthetics.

Tech Tip: To check your U-Joints, park your vehicle on a flat and level surface. Put the vehicle in Neutral and set the parking brake. From under the car, rotate the drive shaft or half shaft while watching U-Joints for excessive play. Also any time red "dust" is apparent on the U-Joint, they need replaced. The red dust is powdered rust.
