| When the second generation Corvette, C2, debuted in 1963 it did so with a brand new state of the art independent rear suspension. This new suspension was a dramatic departure from the previous live rear axle of the C1 Corvette. The new independent rear suspension delivered far superior handling, grip, and feedback, making the C2 a true canyon carver. In 1965 GM added a rear sway to the Corvette's suspension, giving the car an even lighter, more balanced and responsive feel. Our 1963-1967 Corvette Reproduction Rear Sway Bar & Hardware is designed to restore the performance and appearance of your C2 Corvette's factory rear suspension. Each component was painstakingly reproduced to provide superior fit and finish. We also offer all of the original GM parts that are still available new. Tech Note: Although the 1963 and 1964 Corvettes were not available factory equipped with a rear sway, they can easily be added. Tech Note: When ordering Sway Bar Bushings, do so by the diameter of the Sway Bar. An easy way to do this is with an open end (crescent) wrench. Adjust the wrench down until it is snug on the Sway Bar, then measure the opening of the wrench. |
