Locate The Leak - Vacuum leaks on 1968-82 Corvettes are common problems, and can cause a rough idle, or cause vacuum operated lights or wiper doors not to function properly. One leak difficult to detect is the headlight actuator canister seal and boot. You can't hear a leak when the engine is running, and the canister loses vacuum almost immediately after you turn the engine off. These are high deterioration pieces and could be the cause of a vacuum leak.
