Inspect your VW's rubber brake hoses during your brake line restoration. Cracked, weathered or bulging hoses should be replaced immediately.
Keep in mind that rubber brake hoses can appear to be fine from the outside, but may be swollen shut on the inside, stopping your VW dead in its tracks. Hoses are best replaced in pairs for equal braking
pressure.
